Former principal dancer for Moisseyev Ballet Company




Born ,raised and trained in Moscow Russia, Larisa Calero is a former principal dancer with the Moisseyev Ballet  Company. While performing with the Company , she got her Masters Degree in Choreography from RATI - Russian Academy of Theatrical Art ( former GITIS). After almost ten years performing with the Moisseyev Ballet Company around the world, Larisa found new home in New York City. Teaching is her second passion .

Larisa is an Artistic Director for Character Dance Summer program at Joffrey Ballet school NYC . She also is a guest teacher-choreographer for a number of Ballet schools in NYC.

On top of teaching Character Dance for a year long program at Joffrey Ballet school, Larisa travels around US and abroad teaching  Character Master classes. In Larisa's Character class students get introduced to new dance techniques from around the world and learn repertoire from classical ballets in addition to pieces choreographed by Larisa. She emphasizes the performing side of dance and delivering the story.
